Trip to Didcot Railway Centre – Evacuation Experience

Rowan class were evacuated last week at Didcot Railway Centre. They began the day experiencing what it was like in a bomb shelter, even crawling out the escape tunnel. They got to work as a team putting out a fire, they completed their evacuee paperwork and planned their suitcase contents and then finally boarded the train for the “country.” On arrival they were selected to go with different hosts and put to work!

DT Project: Build a model air raid shelter

Rowan class were asked if they could build a model air raid shelter that was showerproof and could take 1kg in weight. They spent a happy day designing and making their models last week and this week have been testing them to see if they can hold some weight.
