The Great Fire of London…in Little Milton!

Last week, Willow class experienced the highlight of their ‘Bright Lights, Big City’ topic that saw them making mini houses out of cardboard and straw. We then placed them close together, as it was in 1666, and set the first one on fire. The children were fascinated to watch the fire spread from one house to the next and there was much discussion about how this would’ve felt for the people in those houses. There was even a spontaneous chorus of ‘London’s Burning’ at one point!
